"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I thank my colleague, Sen. Leshore, for seeking for this statement. I was listening very keenly to Sen. Madzayo in his response and he did mention that the Ministry of Devolution and Planning is in partnership with certain stakeholders in looking after street children. I would like to ask the Senator one specific question regarding that partnership. One, in most urban centres the world over, one of the ways of dealing with street children is to have home shelters where these children can go at night or with their parents so that they do not need to suffer the vagaries of the weather at night. We cannot stop them exercising their democratic rights on the streets and at night, they need special care. Most Kenyan towns are really advantaged by having very good churches in the centre of the city. Like here, we have the Holy Family Basilica."
