"content": " In fact, many a times when that particular Standing Order is pointed out, it is usually to challenge the dressing, and Sen. Haji has been a victim on more than one occasion. In fact, Speaker’s Rule No.5 says:- “Senators shall be required not to enter the Chamber, lounge or dining room without being properly dressed” It has an equivalent standard for women. My understanding is that Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale was trying to interpret the equivalent standard for women in the manner and form in which Sen. Zipporah Kittony has dressed, and she has not complained. She has sat through all these altercations very happily. I do not know why the rest of you have a problem with that. The bit where Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale has absolutely no powers is, one, to ask the Speaker to assist him and, two, to ask Sen. Kittony to do the catwalk. I am happy that Sen. Kittony did what she needed to do; treat it with the contempt it deserved by not responding."
