The UNHCR is helping the Government to sort out the discrepancies to avoid a situation where some of the returnees take advantage of the process. Another dilemma is that those already compensated are on the streets demanding more compensation and assistance. If this is allowed, it means that the demands will never end. Mr. Speaker, Sir, a tripartite meeting held on Monday, 17th October, 2016, between the Government, UNHCR and the leaders of returnees agreed that the returnees' leadership will work with the Government and the UNHCR to sort out the issues raised in their petition within two weeks. However, the returnees still insist on remaining along the road until a solution to their issues is found. I do not know whether that is overtaken by the fact that they are no longer here right now."
