    "content": "THAT the Bill be amended by deleting Clause 8 and substituting therefor the following new clause – The National Land Commission shall, in relation to the matters set out in this Act – (a) pursuant to Article 67(2)(h) of the Constitution, monitor and have oversight responsibilities over land use planning throughout the country; (b) prepare and submit to Parliament, reports on the status of land use planning; (c) prepare general principles and guidelines on land use planning and coordinate planning by counties; (d) recommend a national land use policy to the cabinet secretary; (e) publish and publicize the status of national land use planning reportpursuant to Article 35(3) of the Constitution; (f) encourage use of traditional dispute resolution mechanisms in land useplanning; and (g) conduct research related to land use planning and natural resources. This will set up the work of the National Land Commission in as far as Article 67 (2) (h) of the Constitution is concerned. The amendments are stipulated in the Order Paper."
