"content": "are sometimes robbed by people who pose as modern brokers. We had a case where musicians who have their music in the iTunes and call back tunes in the telecommunication companies like Safaricom and Airtel, take a chunk of the innovation of musicians such that they only get meagre earnings out of their innovations. This is the case and yet it is very expensive to produce that music. If this Motion is developed into a Bill, it will streamline this industry to ensure that these ideas are not stolen, we keep our talents here and we benefit from them. As I conclude, it is important to note that Africa, especially Kenya is a big source of raw material for the manufacturing companies in the world. If you look at the textile industry, you will find that we get our cotton under hard conditions but export it raw without processing. After that, we go to America and Britain and buy those expensive suits from the two countries. This is the case and yet these countries do not grow cotton because of their climate. We give them our cotton and then we go and buy it in form of expensive suits. That is very smart robbery without violence. One of the problems that the innovation support will solve is to ensure that we do not have to do those unnecessary exports of raw materials."
