"content": "Section 8 says: ―Proceedings for contempt of court shall not be instituted except by or with the consent of the Director of Public Prosecutions or on a motion of a court having jurisdiction to deal with criminal contempt of court.‖ This is a good departure from what used to happen. Before proceedings of criminal contempt are instituted, the Director of Public Prosecutions will have satisfied himself that, that can constitute criminal contempt of court in criminal cases."
