"content": "I am happy this Bill is defining the process of defence to contempt of court if it is proved to the satisfaction of the courts. Of course, I am not worried about the court proving because you must have someone to prove that you have acted in good faith. It is, of course, their jurisdiction to prove that you have acted in good faith. It is the single responsibility of the court to interpret the law. If this is subjected to court’s interpretation, there is really nothing wrong. We expect our judicial officers to exercise their authority in a manner that reflects the dignity of the judicial system. If it is a fair comment on the general working of the court made in good faith in the public interest and in temperate language, The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor."
