    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this important Motion. I want to join my Chairman and Vice-Chairman in supporting the appointment of Lt. Col (Rtd.) Githiri. We interacted with him during vetting. We are aware that drug abuse is a serious issue in this country. During the vetting, we tried to find out whether he has what it takes to handle that important docket. Based on his experience, I was convinced that Col. (Rtd.) Githiri has what it takes to take the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) to the next level. When you look at his experience in the private sector, Col. Githiri has been involved in community work. He is a member of a welfare organisation in his estate. That shows that he can interact with the public. He can come up with strategies to make sure that he penetrates the grassroots when addressing that menace."
