One reason for the amendment in Sub-section (b) is universities do offer diplomas and certificates that are internal and they are varied. One university may offer a diploma of one-and-a-half years and another one of two years. So, if we standardise and have them refer to what regulates other tertiary institutions, then we have no problem because the Kenya National Qualification Framework will even have a way of equating these certificates and diplomas."
