"content": "age bracket are branded and registered. If possible, it should just be the way we register vehicles. We must have the relevant law which says that whoever buys cattle, must check their registration numbers and confirm their source. That way, if cattle from Kericho are being sold in Nairobi, you must confirm that the registration numbers are coming from Kericho. That way, we can trace them in the event that the cattle have been stolen. We will know where the animals came from, how they found themselves in Nairobi or wherever they are being sold from. I was just consulting a while ago with the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Energy, Communication and Information. Nowadays, we use tracking systems for vehicles and everything else. I think we need to apply the same concept to our animals. We need to know how much it will cost and who will fund the project. The Government should put in place a system to track animals whenever they are stolen. I will not say much but I support the Report. I want to say that the capacities of the communities who still practice cattle rustling should be built through education and infrastructure. Thank you."
