    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. Although I support the Motion, I do not support the entire framework on climate change mitigation. This agenda is being pushed by the western countries. In the 18th Century, as the western world industrialised, nobody, including the United Kingdom (UK) and USA, talked about the effects of carbon emission into the atmosphere. Now that they are fully industrialised, they do not want African countries to industrialise. As we ratify this treaty, we must be careful as developing countries. We need to emit a lot of carbon into the atmosphere so that we can develop like the western countries. Thank you."
