Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 17 of the Bill be amended in sub clause (1) by inserting the words “partners and the” immediately after the words “name of the”. We are seeking to clean it up by inserting the word “partners.” As you know these are offences relating to partnerships. So, if the partners are not brought in, there is nothing like partnership in itself. A partnership is composed of partners, so the people to be prosecuted ought to be the partners."
