"content": "What does that mean? That means that we, as the Government, are supposed to provide facilitation and money to ensure that education is free, so that the children are not sent home to bring funds, maybe for the Parents Teachers Association (PTA). Education should be fully free. The money that is taken down there should be taken directly to where it is supposed to go. The introduction of bursars in schools will help us to ensure that the money we send to primary schools is utilised and accounted for properly. We should also have the same in day secondary schools. I have been reading Government policies that we have free day secondary school education in Kenya. Some of us have been building secondary schools to ensure that all the children in our villages, who cannot manage to go to big schools, access education through day schools. When they go there, they are being asked to pay a lot of money."
