    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, the chairperson has not done justice to the question. The challenges on fees in public schools are two. First, some of the national schools in particular, have developed the tendency over the years to defy any directive that comes from the Ministry with regard to school fees. They, therefore continue to charge other fees, in effect becoming untouchable or sacred cows within the Ministry. What action will the Ministry take to ensure that schools like Alliance High and other national schools that consistently do not comply with these fees guidelines do so? Secondly, why do they want the fees to be paid at once? What is the rationale behind it? These are schools where people come in terms. Even banks allow one to pay in instalments. Why are we punishing parents?"
