    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady. I rise to support the amendments by the Chairlady that the Vice-Chairperson shall be of opposite gender. I oppose the Leader of the Majority Party in the sense that we want to ensure that the gender rule is implemented as soon as possible. I want to say this because we cannot allow a whole or almost half of the university population not be represented in the students’ union. Two, I want to put this very clearly. This House has set precedents. Our Speaker and Deputy Speaker are of opposite gender and the leaders of committees are also of opposite gender. I am saying that because we are supposed to set a precedent as a nation. If we are to value our girls, daughters and women, we should start from the universities. Thank you. I support."
