The Elections Campaign Financing Act, 2013 is amended by inserting the following new section immediately after section 1— Suspension of 1A.The operation of this Act is suspended and the Act shall come operation of Act into force immediately after the general elections to be held in the year 2017. Hon. Chairlady, we are amending the Elections Campaign Financing Act to suspend its operation so that it does not apply to the election of 2017 but to that of 2022 because there are no regulations that have been approved by this House, which ought to have been approved so that we can operationalise this information."
