"content": "A sitting day as defined under the Standing Orders falls under Standing Order No. 30(2) and the timings as set there are very clear. I am sorry many of us are arguing on this point not because of what is in the Standing Orders but because of what we think we should be doing here. I urge you in dealing with this very important issue to look at the Standing Orders and deal with it. Standing Orders define a sitting day as ending at 6.30 p.m. There is nowhere else in this book where it states that on a Special Sitting day you can extend by request."
