"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, let me start by congratulating all the Members of this House from both sides and compliment you on your earlier ruling this morning on the barricades and the roadblocks which were put up by the police near Parliament. Because of that ruling, the Senate is trending all over social media. I have one message here with me if you will allow me to read it: “Speaker Ekwe Ethuro orders police to withdraw from the precincts of Parliament as Senators criticize police action and reject the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) Senators’ demand to suspend the sitting.” We have handled the issue in a very mature and sober way unlike what transpired in the National Assembly whereby some old school street bitches were trying to insult the President with all sorts of abusive language."
