Senators, I wish to report to the Senate that pursuant to Standing Order 40 (3) and (5), I received the following Message from the Speaker of the National Assembly, on 23rd December, 2016, regarding the decision of the National Assembly on the appointment of Members to the National Climate Change Council. I quote:- “PURSUANT to the provisions of Standing Order No.41 of the National Assembly Standing Orders, I hereby convey the following Message from the National Assembly:- WHEREAS, the Report of the Joint Sittings of the relevant Committees of the Houses of Parliament regarding the vetting of nominees to the National Climate Change Council was considered and adopted by the National Assembly on 20th December, 2016; The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate"
