"content": "If we decide to go into this in a divisive manner, then the sober leadership that the country is waiting from us will be elusive. It is also sad because the two co-chairs of the Select Committee came from this House. Being a member of that Select Committee, we should be asking ourselves, what happened? We were not supposed to come back to such a scenario but when I look at the report of the Select Committee, it is very clear. It indicates the way we are supposed to vote. It takes into account Article 38 of the Constitution. It brings out the human rights that we have. Therefore, if this Senate wants to guide our country and say “no” to the events of 2007, then we have to be open enough to discuss and bring out issues.
