"content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to support this Motion. In as much as I am listed as one of the Members of the House Business Committee (HBC), I would like to take this opportunity to wish Members a happy New Year. As you can see from the numbers, it was indeed a task today to even get the quorum, because Members are fully focused on the coming 2017 General Election. I am confident that even as we proceed with the business of the House and that of the elections, Members will dedicate their time for the important business of representation and legislation. I am aware that we will need to prioritise a number of things such as the budget process. We need to see how to fast track it and other pieces of legislation.
