    "content": "Dr. Eliud Wabukala Wamukekhe as Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. Hon. Speaker, I am moving this Report on behalf of the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, Hon. Chepkong‟a, who is out of the country on official duties. I have the authority of the Committee to move this Report. Pursuant to the resolution of the House on 1st December 2016, the Speaker referred to the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs a Message from His Excellency the President, Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta regarding the approval of Archbishop (Rtd.) Eliud Wabukala Wamukekhe, as the chairman of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC). The Message was dated 20th December 2016 and it was addressed to the Speaker of the National Assembly, pursuant to Section 6 of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2012 as read together with Sections 3 and 5 of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, Chapter 36 of the Laws of Kenya. The Message also included a copy of a letter to His Excellency the President conveying the decision by the Selection Panel to pick Archbishop"
