    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order 45(2)(b) to seek a statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries regarding the waiver of loans to coffee farmers in Mt. Kenya Region. In the statement, the Chairperson should:- (1) State the consolidated amount of loans waived by the Government. (2) Give a breakdown of the waived amount per county showing the number of coffee farmers who benefited from that waiver. (3) Explain the actual benefits that will accrue to a coffee farmer from the region following the waiver and whether the waiver would lead to higher coffee yields. Mr. Speaker, I have another statement."
