"content": "As they say, you talk of the angle and he arrives. I am sure the Senate Majority Leader will shed a little more light and encourage us that something is happening, so that we ensure that the 21 or so Bills in the National Assembly will be discussed in the House. If they have amendments, let them deal with them. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, let us conclude debate and processing of these Bills so that as we wind up our term in this House, we will be proud legislators; that we came to this House and did our job. Even when Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale will be presenting his scorecard to the people of Kakamega to seek the position of governor, his scorecard will be based on how many laws he made. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, there are several Bills that are pending in the National Assembly. Somebody might think that he is not a very good legislator. He is such a sharp legislator but he has been let down by the system and the dysfunctional bicameral arrangement that we have. We would like to ask Sen. Muthama as a leader in the Minority side and Sen. (Prof.) Kindiki as a leader in the Majority side to help us as their foot soldiers or Members to ensure that those Bills that we have generated see the light of day in the National Assembly and we conclude the business so that Kenyans benefit. Now that Sen. Abdirahman, the Deputy Senate Minority Leader, is here, this is the leadership that has let us down. They need to ensure that they work out something to ensure we have business."
