    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, this is an important amendment. I want to support it with reservations. It is clear that when we approach a general election, we need to guard against abuse and initiation of projects for purposes of securing funds. At the same time, elections should not stop development activities in our country. It is important, if there are important projects that have been planned, not to be denied the opportunity to be implemented. That is why it should be clearly provided for the National Treasury to approve projects and measures to be put in place to ensure that people vying for elective positions do not get involved in project implementation.
