"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I was talking about the privilege of serving with the late Sen. Boy Juma Boy as MPs in 1992 when he was the Chief Whip of KANU. He made life very difficult when we were in the Opposition. However, over time, I came to know him with Sen. Leshore here. We became friends. We were able then, to negotiate the Inter-Parties Parliamentary Group (IPPG) reforms between KANU and us in the Opposition largely because of the system, the friendships that we had created across the party lines. In the Senate, it has also been my privilege to serve in the Senate monitoring Committee with the late Sen. Boy Juma Boy and others. The late Sen. Boy Juma Boy had been committed to the empowerment of this Senate through establishment of that monitoring and evaluation fund. If there was a Member of the Committee who had offered to go and speak to Members of the Opposition in the National Assembly so that that Fund can succeed, it was Boy Juma Boy.
