Temporary Chairlady, I beg to move: - THAT, Clause 44 of the Bill be amended— (a) by deleting sub-clause (1); (b) in sub-clause (2) by deleting the word “child” and substituting therefor the word “pupil”. This means the incentives may be given to pupils, but this needs not be mandated upon the teachers or the school by law. We cannot set a standard of incentives. An incentive can be given based on the will and the ability of the school to give. We cannot set a standard that every school should give a particular incentive of a certain level."
