    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, on a point of order. With your permission, I wanted to ride on that Statement for an additional clarification. Many of the attacks that have happened from Al Shabaab in Mandera from across the border have happened because the area known as the Gedo region bordering Mandera County on the Somalia side, is under the control of Ethiopian AMISOM forces who are not on the ground. We have asked as Mandera leaders for a long time that Kenya Defence forces (KDF) within AMISOM forces should take control of that region because it borders our country. It is strategically important for our security and that is why we keep being attacked from Mandera. Could the Vice-Chair also explain why the Government has not been able to convince AMISOM so that they can take over the control of Gedo region in Somalia?"
