    "content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, thank you for giving me this opportunity to welcome students and teachers from Kabianga University in Kericho County which neighbours Bomet. More so, Kabianga University has a campus in Sotik which is in Bomet County. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate these students for visiting the Senate. I would like to mention that the role of the Senate is not well understood in the villages and small towns within our counties. It is upon the elites in universities who are leaders to take up the role of educating the public on the functions of each of the leaders whom they have elected. I congratulate the university which is managed by Prof. Kipng’eno who was a classmate of mine. We went to school together and we have also done a lot.
