    "content": "KUDHEIHA ) has agreed and signed their CBA on 16th February 2017. On the effort being made at ending the impasse, a joint negotiation team is conducting g the procedural and legal aspect of the negotiation. The SRC has, as per its constitutional mandate, written to the Inter-Public University Council Consultative Forum and given advice on the parameters for negotiation and committed Ksh10billion for the implementation. It recommended retention of the lecturers’ house allowance at the current rate. On the issue of current efforts made by the Cabinet Secretary (CS) of Education, the CS and the relevant Principal Secretaries; they provided a conducive atmosphere for negotiation and allowed the Inter-Public University Consultative Forum to carry out the negotiation without interference. The CS is also working with the relevant arms of Government to ensure that there is security in all campuses. Thank you very much."
