I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.45 (2)(b) to seek a Statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on National Security and Foreign Relations regarding the killing of livestock in Laikipia County last week by the security personnel drawn from different police units and the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) who were carrying out a security operation in the area. In the Statement, the Chairperson should:- (1) Explain whether the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government is aware of the above incident.
