"content": "do the same. It is an acknowledgement that there is an acute food crisis in the country. The Government is trying its best to address this issue. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I was quoting the Ministry of Devolution and Planning which has said that so far it has done its best and no Kenyan has died because of lack of food. It is upon those who are saying that somebody has died to bring the necessary evidence before the House. It is those who are making the allegation who should substantiate rather than asking me to get punished by the House for a statement I have not made. I challenge Sen. Billow, Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale and my sister, Sen. Kanainza, to as of now, table in this House the list of those who have died because of lack of food in this country. It is the Senators who were the first to say we should not rely on newspaper information. Whereas we appreciate the seriousness and magnitude of this crisis, we should not make unfair and exaggerated allegations."
