    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I want to appreciate the response that has been given by the Chairperson, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Committee. You will note the Statement that I sought was delivered on 15th November, 2016. The Ministry of Agriculture responded the next day,16th November, 2016. Someone may read two things; either they did not want to understand my questions clearly to the extent that they just went to the archives to give us this template answer or they were tired because we have been asking many questions relating to fertilizer supply in the country. However, I want to ask these clarifications as shown here. In page 2, there is a an interesting statement quoted here at the last bullet:- “The fertilizer types procured depend on soil requirements and crops grown in various regions of the country. This is well guided by the soil suitability evaluation for maize production in Kenya in collaboration with the report of the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization released in 2014.” The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
