    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order No.45(2)(b), I rise to seek a statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. Since the planting season in most parts of the country has begun, what arrangements has the Government undertaken to ensure that subsidized fertilizer has been procured and distributed to farmers? In the response, the following details should be provided. (1) Quantities and type of fertilizer procured for this season and last year. (2) The quantities of each type of fertilizer distributed to each county this season and last year. (3) Quantities of fertilizer distributed to Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC) through Kenya Seed Company this season and last year. (4) What are the reasons for the variances, if any?"
