Is the Senate Minority Leader in order to bring the issue of standard gauge railway up when we know that the standard gauge railway of Kenya and the standard gauge railway of Ethiopia have a very big difference? Our standard gauge railway line is of a higher quality than Ethiopia’s. It is wrong to compare the terrain of Ethiopia and Kenya yet we know that we have had to take care of our wildlife and that is why it is more expensive. It is generally wrong to tell Kenyans on the Floor of this House that our gauge is the same standard as that of Ethiopian knowing very well that the Ethiopian standard gauge railway is of a lower grade."
