    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. The Report I have just tabled from the Ministry of Defence was prepared pursuant to Article 241(30(b) of the Constitution. The Report stipulates that the reason for deployment of KDF to Laikipia, Samburu, Turkana, Baringo and West Pokot counties is due to the escalating emergency security situation in the said areas. The duration of the deployment will be determined by the National Security Council pursuant to Section 34(4)(b) of the Defence Forces Act, having regard to the security situation.
