"content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, we managed to build toilets using the NG-CDF kitty, and with help from some NGOs like World Vision. However, the County Government of Narok is claiming that it has built 1,500 classrooms in the whole county and yet there is not even a single toilet that it has built anywhere in the county. So, I think Senators should be going round to monitor whatever is being done. That is exactly what we do in the Public Investments Committee (PIC), the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and many other committees in terms of questioning how public funds are utilized. Senators should be keen on scrutinizing expenditure by counties. For instance, they should check whether the money that was allocated for roads has, indeed, been used for that purpose."
