    "content": "Additionally, Section 4(1) and (2) of the EALA Elections Act, 2011, provides that elections of members to the Assembly shall be conducted in accordance to the rules of procedure of the legislature of the partner states. The Act also requires that the elections ought to be conducted within 90 days before the expiry of the date of the outgoing Assembly. Therefore, the meaning of within 90 days as stated in Section 4 of the EALA Elections Act, 2011, means any date between 4th March, 2017 and 3rd June, 2017. The Parliament of Kenya is, therefore, required to conduct the elections of its members of EALA by latest 3rd June, 2017."
