    "content": "For a long time, we have been looking at it like it is a place where we just send people who, maybe, we had negotiated with on party issues or some small issues. Maybe we are satisfying some people if we had promised them this or that. In these regulations, we must also consider several issues; that EALA is as important as any other Assembly. We must also recognise that as we are approaching integration where East Africa will have one currency and the regulations that will guide these four or five countries. We must understand that we need to have very strong people who will legislate for that integration, and who will also tackle serious matters that touch on East Africa. As we propose the names, we do not expect people to send their girlfriends, brothers, sponsors or sons to that Assembly. We want to send people there who we know would have qualified to sit even in this House or in the Senate. If we do this, those people will represent the Republic of Kenya and not their boyfriends, girlfriends, cousins, sisters or brothers. I support this Motion."
