    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, this is a very important committee. In these regulations, they are saying that the committee will sit for a maximum of four meetings in a year. We are just about to implement a massive ICT programme at the IEBC with the tenders that they have just given for an integrated system. Could we just cap the number of meetings to four in a year if they will be implementing the programme? I think there is a move to sort of emasculate the committee. That is why I am allowing the committee to have freedom to decide the number of times they will meet to implement the ICT programmes. Capping their meetings to four in a year and where and when they will happen is decided by somebody else. There is no need to have the ICT committee in the first place."
