I have noted that the Committee gave a clean bill of health to the Elections-Related Regulations and confirmed that they conform to the Constitution, statutes, National Assembly Standing Orders and, as such, I support the Committee’s recommendation that this House approves the regulations for publication by the regulation-making authority, which is the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). The enactment of the Elections Laws (Amendment) Act No. 36 of 2016 and the Election Laws (Amendment) Act No.1 of 2017 occasioned a significant reform in the electoral process in The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
