Temporary Deputy Speaker for this opportunity to also add my voice to the comments made by my colleagues on the State of the Nation Address by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya. From the outset, I wish to congratulate His Excellency the President for the articulate information he provided within the very short time he had to address the nation in this Parliament. The President’s Address touched on all sectors of the economy: the social and political development and of course, he did not forget to mention the challenges such as corruption which is a menace in this country and also the huge wage bill we are really fighting."
