I want to join my colleagues in asking you to give us guidance on this matter because even at the Committee level, we are experiencing the same problem due to the election fever that is creeping in. We have tried to grapple with this issue, but it has not been easy. With your good knowledge of the Standing Orders and the Constitution, you are better placed to give us a way forward. We need to transact the business of this House until we are told to pack up and go. You have heard of a situation where Members filibuster in other jurisdictions. In the Congress and the House of Commons, a Member can filibuster for 10 hours, with three or four Members in the House. You are more qualified to give us guidance on this matter because it is very urgent. It is affecting the proceedings of the committees and the House."
