    "content": "(a) Pain and suffering,Kshs150,000 x 63; (b) Loss of expectation of life Kshs200,000 x 63; and, (c) Loss of dependency, Kshs300,000 x 63. THAT, to date, there is no indication that the affected families who have been living in trauma of the loss of their loved ones, and survivors of the tragedy, will receive the compensation awarded to them by the High Court; THAT, if the matter is left unresolved, the petitioners risk being victims of justice delayed, which is tantamount to justice denied; THAT, the issues in respect of which this petition is made are not pending before any court of law, constitutional or statutory body. Therefore, your humble petitioners pray that the National Assembly, through the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs: (a) intervenes through the relevant Government agencies to ensure that the petitioners are paid the compensation rightfully awarded to them by the High Court, including interest accrued thereto as ordered by the High Court; and, (b) makes such other order or direction as it deems fit in the circumstances. Hon. Speaker, your petitioners will ever pray."
