Baker Tilly Merali auditing firm was appointed by the PSC in 2013 to audit the Office of the Auditor-General. Until now, there is no report from that audit firm. In fact, that audit firm went and did business with the Office of the Auditor-General. Therefore, it is part of the investigation that the Departmental Committee on Finance, Planning and Trade is dealing with. When they were appointed, as you said, they did not go through the vetting of the Departmental Committee on Finance, Planning and Trade. Last time, Hon. Keynan brought a motion for the reappointment of that audit firm. I am sure you know he withdrew it. Since then nothing has taken place and I think as you well said, the Clerk of the National Assembly must put the adverts and get qualified and reputable audit firms to audit the Office of the Auditor-General.
