He may seek to amend Clause 1 of the Bill by deleting the word “2016” and substituting therefore the word “2017.” The observations of Hon. Ichung’wah and the Chair of the Departmental Committee may lead to a further amendment. You are at liberty to do so. You may drop the words “and shall come into force on such a date as the Cabinet Secretary may, by notice in the gazette, appoint.” I do not know whether the Chair of the Departmental Committee will be okay with you moving to delete the words “2016” and replacing therefor the words “2017”. You can consult. Member for Saboti, as the duo consult, you may comment on this amendment."
