    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker for allowing me to contribute to the National Police Service (Amendment) Bill, National Assembly Bill No. 43 of 2016. I want to start by thanking Hon. Sherriff Nassir for this great amendment on compensation of police officers when they suffer injuries or are killed while on duty. This is in good faith and it is in line with Jubilee‟s manifesto which provides for insurance of police officers. We have both good and bad police officers. However, this has been proposed in good faith. It is important that the IPOA bites; it must play its role. It should not be the case that IPOA only comes to the limelight when it is giving prizes to police officers.
