    "content": "As I conclude, I hope that the proposed law will get an overhaul because it is not ready as it is. Certainly, the Steering Committee should change and we should have within it, eminent Kenyans who have had outstanding practice and experience in the financial sector of this country. We should leave out the Head of State and his deputy in this kind of arrangement. Do not bring them down to serve in areas that will kill the institutions because people will fear to speak out clearly and firmly on critical issues. I do not believe that it is necessary that the political leadership of Nairobi should sit on the Board of this institution to give it weight. If that be the case it should be spelt out clearly.
