(a) I am not aware that the graduation ceremony for Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology is threatened following demonstrations by students that led to indefinite suspension of students. As a matter of fact, the graduation is taking place tomorrow. My Minister is already headed to the University. We also know that the President who is a Chancellor will be awarding degrees and diplomas tomorrow. (b) There were no riots. However, some engineering students demonstrated concerning the registration of their colleagues who had graduated and they had not been registered by the Engineering Registration Board. That is not a problem at Masinde Muliro University only. Other universities, like Egerton are experiencing it."
