"content": "At the time when this matter came up at the EACJ - the principals may not know - I was there as the Assistant Minister of East African Community. The late Sen. Mutula Kilonzo in this first Senate under the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 was one of the prime movers of this matter at the EACJ. If for nothing else, let us honour him. I was there when he defeated Sen. Amos Wako when he was the Attorney-General. Sen. Wako spoke a lot of English but he could not manage, we were defeated. Those of us who were serving in the EAC used to live with the embarrassment of being asked by representatives from the other partner states: “What is wrong with Kenya? Can you not sort out your issues?”"
